Shanghai / Sontheim. At the beginning of July, the clamping technology specialist RÖHM dedicated a new subsidiary in China. The official opening ceremony was attended by more than 50 guests, including representatives of highly regarded machine manufacturers, end customers and dealers.
The branch had already started its business activities a few months before. 'Given the strong growth in the Asian economic region, we think there is a lot of future potential in this venture,' said Managing Director Dr Michael Fried.
After the opening speeches, visiting professor Dr Hua Yuan gave an interestingly varied lecture, offering insights into the RÖHM range of products.
RÖHM already had a presence in Asia, though hitherto its activities on the market were carried on through trading representatives. The new branch now puts the company in a central position, where it will enjoy even better access to the Asian market. 'We now have the task of opening up further parts of China for our products,' says Ünal Celik, Managing Director of RÖHM China. 'Now the important thing is to continue expanding our network of customers, and establish the name of RÖHM on a sure footing.'
At the same time the Eastpo trade fair was being held in Shanghai. Here RÖHM was represented with a trade fair stand measuring around 40 square metres. Apart from RÖHM's wide range of standard products, the company exhibited magnetic clamping chucks and clamping equipment for the mechanical engineering and automotive industries.
The positive response of the visitors shows that RÖHM is in touch with the various needs and requirements of the region - and can offer the solutions that are required. The RÖHM Group has a market presence worldwide, with more than 50 branches and trading agencies.
