iJaw HMI-CONNECTION
By HMI connection we mean the integration of the iJaw functions into the controller of the machine tool by the manufacturer. The iJaw data can be transmitted to the machine via the universal gateway. The machine controller then has read access to the data in real-time. It can be used for control, regulation and visualization purposes.

- Limiting the maximum speed to prevent the clamping force from falling below the maximum
- Active control of the clamping pressure at a standstill
- Trend analysis for the condition of the chuck
- Calculation tool for minimum clamping force
- Triggering of a machine stop when the minimum clamping force is not reached

- Measurement of the clamping forces of internal and external clamping at standstill and under rotation

DMG Display
Our development partner DMG has implemented bar displays for clamping force, efficiency, temperature display and battery charging status in the controller. The clamping force computer cClamp was also implemented for optimal use of the iJaw on the DMG machines.
WFL-Display
Our development partner WFL relies on the display of clamping forces as a curve and thus monitors the clamping force curve over a period of time. WFL uses the iJaw for the exact alignment of workpieces weighing several tons.
Jaw geometries
A set of clamping jaws consists of three iJaw jaws. Usually, one jaw with sensors is sufficient for measuring and wireless data transmission. The other jaws have no sensors. They are mechanically identical in construction and have corresponding balancing masses for perfect concentricity even at high speeds.
All jaws have a console that can be individually equipped with exchangeable clamping inserts and thus adapted to the clamping task. The transmission unit is sealed with a special plastic to protect against abrasive and hot chips.

OEM scope of delivery
The iJaw system consists of a set of jaws, one of which contains the sensor. The antenna, cable and the iJaw Connect gateway ensure data transmission.
