SONTHEIM AN DER BRENZ. As of March 2, 2026, Röhm GmbH has a new Managing Director alongside CEO Gerhard Glanz and COO/CTO Martin Kaufmann.
At 45, Jochen Grundmann is anything but an unknown figure in the machinery and construction equipment industries. Before joining Röhm, he held senior positions including member of the executive management team at Bauer Maschinen GmbH, CEO of BAUER Equipment America, and earlier roles at the tooling specialist MAPAL. The mechanical engineering graduate and MBA (General Management) is regarded as a proven sales expert with deep expertise in process engineering, engineering, value stream analysis, and business development.
“Röhm has tremendous potential, even in these challenging times. I look forward to building strong relationships with customers and colleagues. My goal and commitment are to make a key contribution to Röhm’s success and sustainable growth,” says Jochen Grundmann, outlining his vision. Driving future-focused initiatives, strengthening what already works, and advancing the company’s strategic and operational development – together and with equal responsibility alongside Martin Kaufmann, the new Managing Director will emphasize international perspectives and clear market and customer orientation.

At his own request, he will leave the executive management after a brief transition period to devote more time to his consulting firm.
