GROWTH IN THE DURO POWER CHUCK FAMILY
As a new member of the DURO power chuck family, the new DURO-A power chuck prevails as a true POWER CHAMPION with a constant clamping force for more than 500,000 cycles and up to 30% higher maximum clamping force. In addition, the DURO-A power chuck delivers up to 10% weight reduction, improved interference contours, optimized centrifugal force behavior as well as a 3-year warranty*.
TURRET MOUNTED, COOLANT OPERATED STEADY
Even when no steady rest is provided in an existing lathe turret – it is not necessary to retrofit an oil hydraulics unit to control a turret mounted steady rest. There is an innovative solution that uses the coolant pressure at the control to signal the steady rest to clamp as per the program and it is opened via the spring pressure. This product has been a joint collaboration between Röhm Products and WESA GmbH.

MANUFACTURING OF WATCH BOARDS WITH A RÖHM POWER-OPERATED INDEX CHUCK
To guarantee a high standard of process reliability and repetition accuracy, IWC Schaffhausen uses the ultra-compact 5-axis machining center KERN Micro for the operation. In this machining center, the prizewinning power-operated index chuck from RÖHM’s Micro Technology series is installed. The index chuck enables doublesided machining of boards without changing the clamping position. This makes it possible for IWC to achieve maximum precision and repetition accuracy in just one clamping position with dozens of machining steps and any number of tool changes being involved.
